Signs and symptoms of early pregnancy

So you are ready to be a mom and looking for signs that might assure you of being pregnant. Even before you test yourself for pregnancy, there are multiple symptoms your body shows, that are quite reliable enough to believe that you might be expecting.

Do not worry, I am not just going to count on missed menstrual cycles.

Though one of the clear signs of pregnancy is skipped periods, you may experience many pre-symptoms as well.

When do you initiate pregnancy symptoms?

Early pregnancy signs and symptoms vary from person to person. These indications start even before your find it out from the test or by missing your periods.

Sense of smell, mood swings, and frequency of urine-like signs might mark that you are pregnant. Many experience all of these symptoms while others might not face even a few of them. That said, these may not be the same for every person.

Let’s see what your signs might be?

The feeling of nausea and morning sickness

Morning sickness or vomiting-like feeling mostly occurs after a couple of months of being pregnant. However, many women have this even before 1 or 2 months. Not only this but sometimes this symptom is completely missing in certain cases.

This happens with the shooting up of progesterone that makes you feel nausea.

Bloating

This is a very common symptom that the majority of women experiences. Bloating or constipation also occurs pre-periods but this can also be a sign of you being pregnant. Though you cannot blame anyone for this except the hormone progesterone which slows down digestion and leads to a feeling of a full or tight belly.

To ease this inconvenience, you can drink plenty of water, include fiber-rich meals in your diet along with investing good time into exercising.

Missed periods

It might sound obvious but yes this is one of the symptoms that all mom experiences during pregnancy. If your periods occur on time and you are missing it for a month, that certainly indicates good news. Although, women with irregular menstrual cycles need some more time to be aware of this sign.

Women also experience bleeding during pregnancy which is quite normal but you should know when it is normal and when you need to see a doctor in an emergency case.

Sensitivity towards smell

Increased sense of sensitivity towards the smell. You might experience a great sense of odor for even mild smells that are quite annoying and unappealing for you. Not every woman faces this but it could be counted as one of the early signs and symptoms of pregnancy.

Changes in breasts

Early pregnancy symptoms also lead to changes in the breast. Tender, swollen breasts, sore or tingly-like signs. Changes in hormones led to all these bodily happenings with you. Though this pain is some kinda gain for you since at this time your breasts are working on the production of milk.

Tiredness and fatigueness

This sign of early pregnancy is the most common among expecting women. During the first trimester of pregnancy, women feel a lack of sleep due to a rapid rise in progesterone hormones. This led to the feeling of tiredness and fatigue like you are climbing a mountain with a weighted bag.

To tackle this you can rest during your daily chore activities.

Frequency of urination

This is also not so uncommon a symptom of pre-pregnancy. Women experience more frequent urination than normal. This is annoying since peeing for a short duration makes you feel irritated but nothing can be done to control these symptoms. Though you will adjust with every bit and piece of the symptoms with time.

Mood swings

Yet again there is only one who can be blamed, that is pregnancy-related hormones. As a part of changing moods, you might be anxious at one moment and weep at another. Happiness, emotional, weeping, and anxiety you will be keeping on facing these swings frequently sometimes making you happier or may be annoyed at another minute. But that is normal.

Since you will be experiencing these throughout the gestation period not just because of hormonal changes but also because you are entering a different phase of life that is gonna bring a number of changes to you and your new life.

Increased saliva

Women who are expecting mothers experience excessive saliva during their initial periods or in the first trimester as well. This is also called ptyalism gravidarum. This is not something to be bothered about since your body, by producing excessive saliva, is trying o protect your mother, throat, and teeth from various infections.

The feeling of realizing that you are expecting to be a mom is the most wonderful feeling. Though, you have to suffer a bit and also a lot of changes your body produces but all these led to the fruitful result in the end.

All of the symptoms listed are common for every woman but not all women go through the same experience. Whatever the changes, signs, or symptoms a woman faces varies depending on body type and other factors. But to sum up, hormonal changes occur during pregnancy when your body produces progesterone which indeed is the reason behind everything you feel and experience.
